An Integrative Counselling Approach
As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon different therapeutic models. Each individual is unique and the work will be tailored to your needs. During our work together we will develop a therapeutic bond, will explore your challenges and difficulties and help you gain a better insight into the mind you inhabit. As your counsellor, I am interested in all of the influences in your life that have made you the person you are today.
Counselling should feel supportive but may also feel challenging at times. To get the best out of counselling, approaching sessions with openness and honesty will lead to a more rewarding experience.
As the counselling progresses, an integrative counsellor will recognise opportunities to employ different therapeutic approaches to help you move forward. The main aim of this approach is to help you integrate your psychological, physical, emotional and social parts so that you feel more whole.
